Hi I'm Joost and I'm here today with this Shiner Gold Clay
0:03
It's a pretty shiny clay but it's not overly shiny like with gels
0:08
It's still clay here but not a really matte look. And it holds my hair up all day
0:14
You can see I've just applied a little here on top and a little extra here on the sides
0:20
That's keeping my hair up quite nicely. Now it smells really great
0:25
It's like this coconutty smell, a little bit of vanilla maybe. Okay so this stuff is a little softer than other types of clay
0:32
You can see that it comes out of the tin a little more easily
0:38
And you don't have to rub it across your hands as much. So this is a more softer clay and it's a little bit further away from wax than other types
0:47
And what I do to apply this to my hair is just get a little bit out and then rub it
0:52
across my hands. Just a little bit to spread it out so you don't get large lumps in one place
0:57
And then I distribute that all over my hair. Now I like my hair up and spiky so that's what I do
1:03
And then I just take a little bit extra for the back and sides of my hair just to make
1:07
sure that it will hold all day. Now the hold on this Shiner Gold is pretty awesome
1:13
It's a little bit in between of the Apica clay and the Suavetico
1:19
But I do like the smell of this just a little bit better
1:22
And I think this is more my style. More of a metro style and less of a rugged type of man style
1:28
But the great thing about this is that it's pretty matte but not that matte
1:32
I have had products that were a little bit more matte so it still gives a bit of shine
1:37
while still being a moldable clay. And the cool thing is that you can go through your hair during the day, especially with
1:44
longer hair like with my sons, and just mold that back into place again
1:48
So I really recommend this for people who want the clay and want a little bit more shine
1:53
Not that matte look. And the ability to mold this and go through your hair during the day
