I must rave that the pickups are excellent. Harmonics are extremely expressive, punchy, and lively.
They are warm but not oppressively so. The action is ridiculously high, but you can easily adjust it.
The body is made of poplar wood, which gives it a neutral tone.
The maple neck and fretboard give it a bright sound. And the Floyd Rose Tremolo HH provides excellent sustain.
Compared to Fender’s guitars, the Floyds on Squier’s are cheaper and not as good quality, yet the sound is pretty decent, and not many people are complaining about it.
Although it’s a good guitar for all musical styles, the Squier by Fender Contemporary Stratocaster
Special HH is the perfect guitar for metalheads. It has a Floyd Rose tremolo system, so you can do all the crazy dive-bombs and squeals your heart desires.
With the two hot humbucking pickups, the five-way pickup selector switch, and a fast-action maple neck, it’s quite similar to Fenders.
The Floyd stays in tune pretty well. The pickups sound decent.
This guitar’s neck is not as thin as an Ibanez RG, for example, so it’s much heftier – some players are all for this, while some prefer a thinner neck.
